An independent housebuilder are looking for a Technical Manager to join its close knit team on a range of projects covering the East and West Midlands
As a Technical Manager, you will report to the Technical Director and oversee new developments from acquisition to final adoption. You must have an engineering background, those from an architectural based background are not needed due to the business already having a strong design and planning team.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the entire project lifecycle, including commissioning road, sewer designs, and ground investigation reports.
- Liaising with service companies, engineers, and consultants for infrastructure works.
- Coordinating street lighting designs, and obtaining Building Regulations/Control approvals.
- Monitoring and reporting on engineering costs, and ensuring compliance with Section 106 requirements.
- Handling technical agreements, site transfers, and postal arrangements.
- Setting up management companies for apartments and private roads.
- Overseeing remedial works, conducting inspections, and managing costs and defects.
