We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual for the position of Welder/Fabricator. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal.
Duties
- Perform TIG and Stick welding on a variety of materials, ensuring precision and quality in all welds.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct assembly of components according to specifications and blueprints.
- Fabricate parts from sheet metal, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and design.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding, Stick welding, and general welding practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience in assembly processes related to metal fabrication is preferred.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
