The Company

This fantastic venue hosts a range of ever-growing, eclectic, events such as live sporting events, outdoor experiences, conferences, meetings and dinners to name a few!

Established over 100 years, they have a broad base of established clients and the multi-purpose venue has both indoor and outdoor space, offering a versatile backdrop for a wide range of business as well as having an exciting in-house event programme.

The Role

We are now seeking an experienced Event Manager who can organise and run a schedule of events as well as dealing with incoming enquiries and converted those into events!

With a growing number of events and existing clients ramping up work, there is now the opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to take responsibility managing the venues indoor and outdoor events.

This is a broad role that includes:

  • Planning and delivering nominated events in accordance with standard operating procedures, providing excellent customer and client service
  • Managing event P&L in order to support accurate reconciliation
  • Maintaining and developing client and stakeholder relationships
  • Successfully managing contractors and suppliers
  • Creating and adhering to event timelines and demonstrate compliance with standard operating procedures
  • Preparing the venue for event open in accordance with set up procedures
  • Participating in the creative development of the events programme

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate must have previous experience of managing and delivering indoor and outdoor events, gained either from working within a venue or alternatively from managing outdoor events including festivals or sporting events.

  • MUST HAVE: At least three years' hands-on delivery experience in the events industry, preferably as part of a smaller team
  • MUST HAVE: Ability to communicate confidently with internal stakeholders, build strong working relationships with colleagues and work efficiently on own initiative.
  • MUST HAVE: Good inter-personal skills and be able to build develop relationships with external clients and suppliers.
  • MUST HAVE: Ability to work well under pressure with good problem-solving and objection-handling skills.
  • MUST: Be organised, resilient and enthusiastic whilst being assertive yet respectful.
  • MUST: Be numerate and able to manage budgets and expenditure.
