Donor Reporting Accountant - Remote/Hybrid - Interim Contract
Robert Half is delighted to support our client, a respected organisation in the charitable sector, in their search for an experienced Donor Reporting Accountant. This is a 4-month interim assignment with a competitive daily rate, offering the opportunity to support vital finance needs during a busy period while working with teams across multiple countries to deliver real impact.
This global charity operates in multiple countries, delivering life-changing programs that empower and support underserved communities. As the Donor Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation meets its donor reporting requirements and maintains tight control over its international finances, including multi-currency reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of financial reports for donors, ensuring compliance with grant and contract requirements.
- Manage the financial reporting of income transfers across business units and oversee multi-currency transactions.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, liaising closely with programme managers and international teams.
- Provide mentoring, training, and capacity building for international finance staff members to enhance their skills and understanding of financial processes.
- Partner with non-financial colleagues, including Programme Managers and Directors, to investigate variances and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct Level 1 audits of international offices and ensure compliance with internal controls and donor regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong expertise in either donor reporting or multi-currency accounting, ideally in an international charity or non-governmental organisation setting.
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems
- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non-finance colleagues and stakeholders across different cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Experience in mentoring or training finance staff and improving financial processes to deliver efficiency and compliance.
- Knowledge of UK charity accounting requirements (SORP) is advantageous but not essential.
Day rate of £250 on offer on a PAYE basis
