Job title: Financial Accountant
Location/remote: Reading or Leeds- 2 days a week onsite
Contract length: 6 Month - rolling contract
Pay rate: £450-£500 per day Umbrella
Randstad Sourceright, a worldwide RPO & MSP Recruitment Services has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Financial Accountant to join one of the UKs leading telecommunications companies
As the financial account you will be looking after the consumer side of margin accounting
Your main responsibilities will be for the accurate and timely reporting of the month end revenues and costs for products that sit within the non-mobile and other mobile sections of the P&L.
You will provide vital insight and support to key stakeholders that can help influence business decisions.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

Month-end accounting including the calculation of accruals and prepayments for various mobile and other mobile products.

Review and challenge the integrity of data and reporting to ensure the accuracy of our accounts whilst enhancing controls and reporting, to continually improve efficiency.

To prepare and explain month end reporting to senior stakeholders within Finance and beyond, including variances to forecasts and trends. To prepare and present the results at month end.

The timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations. Provide explanations of material balance sheet movements to managers. Regular review of accruals and provisions.

Ability to work collaboratively with the wide range of stakeholders within Finance and beyond.

Liaising with Internal and external audit and responding to queries within agreed timeframes.
Key skills and experience:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) looking to gain further experience of month end accounting processes.

Good communication skills and able to communicate at all levels.

Advanced Excel skills

Ability to work to tight deadlines

Able to adapt to change and proactively update & build in efficiencies to processes
