Elevation Senior Finance are excited to be partnering with a leading transportation business, based in Leeds (hybrid working), as they look to appoint a Management Accountant into their established, yet growing finance function due to a recent company merger. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will support in the preparation, collation and reporting of monthly P&L and balance sheet. Ad-hoc data analysis and reporting on an ongoing basis to improve management information and share across the business.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:
- Accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts
- Monthly production of management accounts including variance analysis of overheads
- Monthly production of balance sheet reconciliations including variance analysis
- Revenue recognition and trend analysis
- Support Accounts Payable with more complex transactions
- Calculate monthly revenue for group providing a monthly revenue reconciliation and holding a monthly verification call with key stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy is maintained within balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with Annual Audit, preparing key schedules and providing support to Financial Reporting Manager with any queries
Key Skills & Experience required are:
- Accountancy qualification with 1+ years’ experience post qualified
- Management and leadership skills
- Excellent computer and software skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and financial software solutions
- Excellent Math & English skills
- Flexible with a “Can do and will do” attitude
