My client, an Accountancy Practice based in Leeds are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive accounting services, and contributing to the overall success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK accounting standards.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing tailored accounting and advisory services.
  • Prepare annual accounts, tax returns, and financial statements for businesses and individuals.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and management accounts.
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and financial regulations.
  • Assist with audits and ensure adherence to internal control systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive advice and support.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified or part-qualified, or QBE with relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
