We are looking for a skilled chef responsible for producing exceptional food, with the ability to work on different sections of the kitchen (such as the grill, pastry, fish, or sauce). You will work closely under the supervision of the Sous Chef or Head Chef. You will ensure that food preparation and presentation meet the highest standards. This role is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen and requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Crowded House standards and recipes.
Support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters in your section.
Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards in the kitchen.
Ensure mise en place & prep is completed efficiently and consistently before service.
assist in monitoring portion control and waste management to minimise food costs.
Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and improve existing menu items.
Keep stock levels maintained and assist with stock rotation and FIFO.
Take responsibility for the cleanliness and organisation of your workstation.
