Reed Education is working closely with many nurseries based in Leeds and is actively recruiting Nursery Assistants. Within this position, you will be responsible for providing care and education for young children in a safe and stimulating environment. We are working alongside the nursery to source candidates that want to make a positive impact on the lives and learning journey of the children. You should be able to build strong working relationships quickly, with staff and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the classroom for each session
  • Planning and implementing activities that support the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Helping children with daily activities such as dressing and eating
  • Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children
  • Observing and documenting children's progress

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be patient and able to build strong working relationships with children
  • Be able to work in a team and be flexible
  • Be approachable, kind, and caring towards all children and have a thorough understanding of safeguarding in a nursery setting
  • Have experience working with young children
  • Have good communication skills

Requirements:

  • Candidate would be required to have an Enhanced DBS
