This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Building Surveyor to lead and develop the existing Building Surveying Team in their Leeds office while being supported by an established multi-disciplinary practice. The firm is going through an exciting phase of growth and are seeking an ambitious individual to drive and grow their business in the region.The role involves working across various sectors, including public buildings and estates, residential and housing, education, retail, healthcare, commercial, and insurance work. Responsibilities include actively contributing to key client development, providing financial forecasting, managing and developing the team, and driving growth.
  • Provide hands on building surveying services with efficiency
  • Lead on projects often coordinating with in-house multi-discipline design services
  • Client management and development
  • Mentoring, supervising, and leading junior members of the building surveying team
  • Undertake technical reviews to manage the quality of their services

  • Proficient in managing individual team members, overseeing their assignments as needed, and offering project guidance
  • Good communication and client facing skills
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Expertise in a wide range of technical aspects of building surveying
  • High level of emotional intelligence with excellent written and oral skills
  • Skilled in producing well-reasoned and comprehensive reports and recommendations
