My client a global loss adjuster are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manger / Building Surveyor.

As a RICS-accredited practice, offering national coverage of surveying services across a range of disciplines in the insurance sector, this organisation consists of an in-house field team of building surveyors, project managers, engineers, construction designers and health and safety experts. The team is enhanced through a network of trusted specialists and contractors.

Our Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to become a senior member of the team, leading a project management team to deliver large and complex reinstatement works following incidents such as fires and floods. Claims can typically range from around £100k to £1m+ in value. This is a flexible role, primarily working from home with travel to project locations and offices as required.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building relationships with adjusters, contractors and policyholders
  • Understand and deliver solutions that meet the needs of loss adjusters and policyholders
  • Communicate confidently and effectively to ensure all stakeholders are updated throughout the project
  • Providing reports and project documentation in a timely manner, including dealing with Building Regulations, Party Wall and Planning requirements
  • Ensuring contract documentation is properly prepared and the contract administration duties are fulfilled
  • Prioritising Health & Safety and complying with the requirements of the CDM 2015 regulations

About You

  • You’ll be an experienced Surveyor / Project Manager, ideally Chartered MRICS / FRICS and will have experience in dealing with projects over £100k in value.
  • Someone who values building relationships, delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the highest technical quality would suit this role.

We’d also like you to have/be:

  • Team focused – working with colleagues throughout the business
  • Proactive – making sure projects are delivered on time and on budget, to the highest standard
  • Reactive – anticipating and effectively resolving issues that arise, responding to daily workloads as dictated by customer requirements and client SLAs
  • Communication skills – confident in managing multiple stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge of both domestic and commercial buildings including pathology, reinstatement methods and compliance with best practice / regulations
  • Knowledge of all relevant Health & Safety / CDM legislation
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and have a willingness to travel when necessary
