In line with the companys strategy to become a world class producer of best in class, high-quality engineered products and with the business currently experiencing significant growth across all its sectors, the company is now seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its team.

Location: Leeds



Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Design Manager or Technical Director, the successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer seeking a new, rewarding and varied role. Working alongside the existing team of design engineers, ideally, you will have had at least 5 years experience working in a special purpose machinery or similar design environment.



You will to produce high quality delivering timely and accurate design solutions.

· Degree or HNC qualification in a mechanically oriented engineering discipline.

· Demonstrable experience in machinery design including mechanical assemblies, linkages, couplings, bearings, gear trains, belts and pulleys.

· Additional knowledge of kinematics and force analysis would also be advantageous.

· Knowledge of CAD, preferably SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical.

· Accuracy and attention to detail; including both dimensional and geometric tolerancing.

· Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· An understanding of timescales and prioritisation

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Discretion and trustworthiness.

· Outstanding time management skills.
