Kitchen Assistant
Our client based in Morley, Leeds is looking for a kitchen assistant to join their team on permanent basis.
As a kitchen assistant you will work in office restaurants and the role will entail preparing a salad bar with support from other team members. The role could develop with some baking and other kitchen prep work for the right candidate. The role of kitchen assistant will also include serving customers on food counters in the afternoon and as the business requires.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AS A KITCHEN ASSISTANT:
- Have experience working in a similar role and environment
- Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
- Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
- Have excellent customer service and social skills
- Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
- Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 9
- Be customer focused
- Have basic food knowledge
- Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
Company benefits and working hours for kitchen assistant:
Pay rate for kitchen assistant: 11.87-12.00 per hour depending on experience
30 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8.00-14.00
