Do you have experience in a Treasury, ALM or a behavioural modelling role? If so we have an opportunity to join our Asset and Liabilities Management team as an ALM Analyst.

About the role

You will maintain the Society's behavioural models for Mortgages and Savings and provide support in the production of liquidity reports.

You will:

  • Produce accurate behavioural reporting including Mortgage and Savings Model Backtesting, Mortgage and Saving WALs, Structural Hedging Performance and Forecasting Stable Deposits.
  • Develop ALM systems and the implementation of system enhancements primarily QRM.
  • Help maintain and develop the department's data warehouse of balance sheet and competitor pricing data. Responsible for reviewing and reconciling data sources for accuracy, completeness and where necessary aggregation rules.
  • Support the reconciliation of the Society's models for consistency.
  • Assist in the development, enhancement and streamlining of model interface spreadsheets.
  • Assist the wider department to meet changing regulatory requirements (both UK & European).

What will you bring to the role?

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Prior experience in a financial services organisation, preferably Treasury/ALM or in a behavioural modelling role.
  • Good level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and analyse large sets of financial data.
  • Knowledge and understanding of behavioural modelling (WALs, Model Backtesting & Structural Hedging).
  • Experience of operating and developing a bespoke risk management / income simulation model e.g. QRM/SQL.
