Manual Machinist – 3 day working week

Are you an experienced manual machinist looking for an exciting opportunity in the a booming industry? We are currently seeking a skilled individual to join our client’s team due to succession planning. The ideal candidate will work 3 days per week on days and have quality experience with basic milling and turning and ideally be time served.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain manual machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and adjust machines to ensure accurate and precise machining.
  • Perform machining operations to fabricate pump and compressor components.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards. (visual)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize machining processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a manual machinist in a marine or related industry.
  • Proficient in operating manual machining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
