As a member of this team, your role will involve managing the real-time interface, commercial, financial, business planning, and contractual relationship with one or more passenger Train Operating Companies (TOC). You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and partners to ensure the needs of all parties are met. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of rail services across the north of England.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish positive and effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and TOCs
  • Develop recommendations for the design, improvement, quality, and delivery of TOC business plans and passenger service specifications
  • Lead collaborative dialogue and negotiation discussions, including chairing specification workstream working groups
  • Manage processes to analyze, evaluate, and test options, including the assessment and validation of proposals

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will be expected to work flexibly to support the delivery of business requirements. A key competency for this role is a demonstrable credibility, complemented by a sound understanding of contract management and/or procurement principles.



Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification and/or substantial relevant experience, preferably with specialist knowledge in rail.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive nature and ability to prioritize tasks
