As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll have an integral role in guiding the educational journey of students with special needs. Responsibilities:
- Offer personalised support to students, adapting teaching approaches to suit their individual learning styles.
- Assist in implementing tailored education plans (IEPs) to ensure customised learning experiences.
- Support classroom management, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Establish effective communication with parents, teachers, and specialists for collaborative student support.
- Prepare and customise teaching materials to cater to the diverse needs of students.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working or volunteering with SEND children, preferably with autism/ADHD exposure.
- Proficient in behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanour.
- Commitment to child safeguarding.
- Active DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
