Here at EMIS we are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to come and join us on a 12-month fixed term contract.


You will be joining a talented team of individuals who are collaborative, supportive, and knowledgeable and you will be part of a wider Group HR function where we all work incredibly hard to support the business.


This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for a role that will provide you with variety. As an ER/HR Advisor here at EMIS you will get site of everything across ER and the work is diverse, and at times complex.


Reporting to our Head of ER, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice on employee relations casework, and when required we will look for you to provide the wider HR team and and/or the business on projects and initiatives.


Whilst the role is fully remote, on occasion we do come together in one of our Yorkshire collaboration hubs.


What you鈥檒l do

We will be looking for you to provide advice to line manages and colleagues on cases, using our group policies and your ER knowledge. You will closely with Managers to support them in developing their skills in the understanding of people policies and how to apply them.


Collaboration is key as you will work closely with our HR Business Partners to deliver change management initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers, TUPE, and restructures, etc. We also expect that you will engage regularly with the wider HR teams including HR Shared Services, Reward, Talent, Internal Comms, L&D, Reward and H&S, and therefore you will enjoy building relationships with a wide range of peers.


Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;


路 Keep up to date and apply changes in legislation in internal policies.

路 Working with our HR Shared Services team to support, cascade and embed HR initiatives and new processes.

路 Produce and analyse reports to identify opportunities to implement proactive solutions.

路 Prepare investigation reports and complex letters.


Who you鈥檒l be


We need you have demonstrable experience working within an Employee Relations Advisor role!


The ability to build trusted and credible relationships with your peers, Managers and employees is absolutely essential. We work well as part of a team, and you will be no different, but you will be comfortable in using your own initiative.


Other skills and experience we are looking for you to demonstrate include;

路 Exposure to working within a diverse ER environment with the ability to manage complexity.

路 Proven in your ability to influence, and where appropriate challenge stakeholders.

路 Customer centric mindset.

路 Ability to work with speed whilst maintaining quality.

路 Sound understanding of employment law and able to keep up to date with legislation changes.

路 Pragmatic but proactive in your approach.
