If so, you could be the perfect candidate for this Reading Mentor position at a wonderful primary school in Leeds.What is a Reading Mentor?As a Reading Mentor, you'll work 1:1/small groups with primary children who need extra support to improve their reading skills. You'll help them discover the joy of books, build their confidence, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Whether it's through storytelling, phonics, or simply sharing your enthusiasm for literature, you'll play a vital role in shaping their future.Reading Mentor - key responsibilities:* Plan and deliver engaging interventions to aid progress.* Feed progress back to the Class Teacher and parents.* Be creative with activities and materials to suit different learning styles.* Promote reading for pleasure.* Support SLT with extra-curricular activities such as book clubs, reading incentives and book fairs.Reading Mentor - requirements:* A 2:1 or above degree from a top UK university.
