The Project
As an experienced Planning Manager based in West Yorkshire, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing multiple projects planning and scheduling across a wide range of sectors, including residential, leisure, commercial & retail sectors with build values in excess of £80m. With your expertise in planning software and methodologies, you will lead the development of detailed project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of projects. Your input will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation.
Requirements
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- Strong IT skills
- Good working knowledge of Primavera P6 / Asta / MS Projects
You must also hold the experience below;
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 10 years of experience working with tier 1 and tier 2 leading construction contractors
- A demonstrated track record of working on new build/refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £25m in a comparable role
- A proven track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects that were successfully delivered on time and within budget

Duties
- Manage and advise planning teams
- Engage in strategic decision-making
- Develop pre construction programmes
- Perform routine quality audits and assessments
- Keep precise and thorough project documentation
- Develop project budgets and oversee expenditures
- Maintain and oversee relationships with stakeholders
- Oversee the planning process from inception to completion
- Implement efficient measures to maintain project progress
- Execute risk management strategies to address unexpected obstacles
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables
- Track and oversee project schedules to ensure compliance with deadlines
- Establish and sustain positive client relationships, communicating regularly
- Ensure projects align with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Handle and resolve project issues as they emerge throughout the project lifecycle
- Create and deliver routine reports on project advancement, challenges, and results
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively
- Create thorough project schedules, taking into account critical milestones and dependencies
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the organization or specific projects
- Utilize project management tools and technologies to improve planning and coordination processes
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, encompassing clients, team members, and regulatory authorities
