Are you a passionate and experienced primary school teacher with a specialism in Special Educational Needs and willing to work in a secondary setting? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join a secondary school in Leeds as a Specialist Resource Teacher for a 12-month maternity cover position commencing in June 2024.

Based in Leeds, this secondary school is looking for a Primary school teacher who can bring their expertise in SEND to support students in a secondary setting. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning needs and will be committed to providing inclusive and supportive education.

This part-time role consists of 3 days a week, totalling 19.50 hours, and includes an SEN allowance 1 payment. As a Specialist Resource Teacher, you will work closely with the SEN team to develop and implement tailored support plans for students, ensuring that their individual needs are met and that they have equal access to learning opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEND principles and best practices, as well as experience in adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of students with SEND. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of the students.
