Azure Platform Engineer

Our client are seeking a skilled Azure Platform Engineer to join on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining a scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. This includes deploying Docker and Kubernetes to ensure APIs scale effectively to meet user demands, as well as establishing and managing robust monitoring solutions in Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters to ensure scalable API services.
- Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions within the Azure ecosystem.
- Ensure seamless interaction between various cloud components and services.
- Implement and manage security protocols and best practices across the platform.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimise infrastructure performance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience with Azure services and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerisation technologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable APIs.
- In-depth understanding of security best practices within cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and manage monitoring tools in Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Qualifications:
- Certified Azure professional (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Administrator).
- Proven experience in a similar role with a strong portfolio of successful Azure-based projects.
Contract Details:
- Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
- Outside IR35.
- Fully remote role.
