Welder / Fabricator (Heavy Plant)
Based Selby North Yorkshire
Salary: £17-19 per hour, overtime available
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an award-winning team who are leading specialists within the waste recycling industry. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to assist with the repair and maintenance of various types of heavy plant and machinery on the company’s North Yorkshire waste treatment site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs/upgrades on existing machines/plant for recycling & construction industry. Including new build projects.
- Stainless & mid steel pipework vessels
- MIG TIG MMA
- This Role is physically demanding as you will be involved in heavy equipment, fabrication & welding
Knowledge / Qualifications Required
- City & Guilds Welding and Fabrication or other relevant qualifications.
- It is essential that you have experience of working with heavy plant/ construction / Agricultural plant machinery.
- Must hold a current clean driving licence due to the rural locations of the sites.
- Welding experience on loading shovels, Crushers, grabs, 360 tracked excavators, screeners, tractors would be advantageous.
Holiday Entitlement: 30 Days including bank holidays increasing 1 day per year for each year of service to a maximum of 5 additional days
Working Hours: Mon-Thur 7am-5pm Fri- 7am-2.30pm anything over contract hours is time a half, occasional weekend work, time and a half Saturday and double on a Sunday.
