Calling all Xero Wizards, We have an fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance & Administration office to work on an ongoing temporary to permanent assignment for our client in the Leek, Staffordshire area.

The Finance & Administration Officer role will organise the company’s day-to-day financial accounting procedures including invoice management, purchase orders and supplier accounts. This role will reconcile as well as track and report on company credit card expenditure, fuel bills and general expenses of the team.

Working part time - 20/22 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday & Fridays this temporary assignment could lead to a permanent position within the business.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Recording, tracking and processing of all financial transactions using Xero system, including quoting, invoices, fuel cards, expenses and purchase orders.
  • Proficient in Excel managing several data bases including creating and updating spreadsheets with daily transactions and producing reports of expenditures and payments.
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable.
  • Resolving any payment disputes and queries to external contractors in a timely manner.
  • Carry out financial audits and raise any concerns to management quickly and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Reviewing and processing reimbursements.
  • All critical goals to be met.
  • Ad hoc duties and support of general office administration as required by management.
  • Managing the ISO compliance for the company carrying out monthly audits against the ISO standards.

Skills:

  • Experience of Xero financial system essential
  • Proficient in Accountancy.
  • ISO 9001 & 14001 knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Finance management and administration skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages with advanced experience of MS Excel (competent in creation of intelligent spreadsheets, tables and graphs.)
  • Experience of bookkeeping procedures, finance administration.
  • Ability to adapt and willingness to carry out ad-hoc administration duties to support a small team.
  • Organisation skills, thoroughness, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven experience of working with confidential data and maintaining professional standards when dealing with sensitive data.
