Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their finance team and contribute to their continued success.

Main Purpose of the Role: Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely collection of invoices from their diverse customer base. As a valued member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships, processing payments, and resolving inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Process customer payments accurately and promptly, including posting remittances and reconciliations
Engage with customers via phone, email, and portals to facilitate payments and address queries in a timely manner
Assist in the distribution of invoices and credit notes to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Collaborate with the Credit Control Supervisor to address any issues that may impact payment timelines
Participate in weekly debtor reporting reviews and assist with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed
Foster positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support smooth payment collection processes

Requirements:

Basic proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the finance team and the broader organisation

Additional Responsibilities:

Occasional travel to other offices may be required for training or meetings
Flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned by management
