Electrical Design Consultant (Remote)

Renewable / Low Carbon Energy Projects

As an Electrical Design Engineer & Consultant, you'll be integral to projects, managing Electrical Design, coordination, and client engagement. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer or project/business Director, you'll collaborate within the Project Team, handling workloads and actively participating in team meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage tasks across multiple projects.
  • Independently conduct detailed electrical design.
  • Perform calculations for Low carbon & Renewable energy projects
  • Coordinate with the mechanical design team.
  • Contribute to design team meetings and report progress.
  • Ensure timely delivery of completed works for Quality Assurance.
  • Continuously enhance work efficiency and team productivity.
  • Support sustainability engineers and actively engage in teamwork.
  • Mentor junior team members and explore diverse engineering disciplines.
  • Enforce quality assurance procedures and guidelines.

Consultancy:

  • Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality service.
  • Promptly address and resolve client concerns.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with clients.
  • Proactively assess and respond to client needs.
  • Possess experience in a client-facing/consultant role.

Technical Ability (Desirable):

  • Understand current building regulations, CIBSE documentation, and relevant design guides.
  • Proficient in IT tools, including AutoCAD & Dialux
  • Work towards CIBSE/IET accreditation.
  • Have 3-4 years' experience in the specialization, including experience in a client-facing/consultant role.
