Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £35k - £50k + Excellent Benefits

Working Hours: 37.75 hours per week

The Client:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer firm, specialising in electrical resistors for power generation, high and medium voltage distribution.

The Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will oversee the creation and approval of drawings, Bills of Materials, and other design outputs.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the engineering team to review design requirements and guide the technical specifications & materials selection.
Prepare and validate design calculations, documentation needed for manufacturing.
Engage in technical evaluations, enhance design and support processes, and conduct root cause analysis to implement necessary adjustments.
Offer ongoing technical assistance to the production, sales, service, and customer support departments.
Ensure project delivery within the set timelines and budgets, effectively managing multiple high-priority projects.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design work, preferably with medium and high voltage systems.
Solid understanding and application experience of IEC 60204, IEC 61439, and involvement in the CE marking process and DFMEA.
A degree in Electrical Engineering.
Skilled in using Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical.
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens would be beneficial.

Shifts:

Monday - Thursday: 8:15 - 17:00
Friday: 8:15 - 13:00
