Responsibilities:
- Analyse large volume of financial data and provide insights to support business decisions within the Retail sector
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
- Support the buying team to understand financial performance & opportunities
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas of improvement
- Provide recommendations for cost reduction and profit optimisation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance
- Assist in the preparation of financial models and business cases
- Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making
- Stay updated with industry trends and market developments
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or similar role
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel skills
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Experience in the retail industry
- Knowledge of ERP systems and business intelligence tools
- Part qualified in CIMA/ACCA
