Hays Education are working in partnership with a 'Good' Sixth Form College in Leicester who are looking to recruit a Teacher of Computer Science to start on the week commencing Monday 19th August. You must have relevant experience working with 11 - 16 year olds within the last 2 years and we must be able to obtain relevant references for this time. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching Computer Science across Key Stage 5.

Job Description:

• Deliver engaging and creative Computer Science lessons to students in Key Stages 5.
• Provide effective lessons, consistent with the curriculum area's schemes of work and use appropriate and varied teaching methodologies.
• Establish an effective and appropriate working relationship with students and ensure they produce as high a standard of work as possible.
• Regularly monitor the performance and progress of students and take prompt and appropriate action when necessary in conformity with curriculum area procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date records in the format required by the curriculum area.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Recent experience teaching Computer Science across KS5.
• Experience of examination marking
• The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
