Our client are an SME manufacturing company based in Leicester who are looking for a standalone HR Advisor to own the HR function supporting c. 100 employees.

This is an operational HR Advisor role reporting into the company MD with responsibilities across the full employee lifecycle including:

  • Support and guide managers through employee relations cases with a particular focus on absence management
  • Support managers on retention and succession management plans
  • Support managers with recruitment, on-boarding & new starter compliance and contracts and probation reviews
  • Manage input of data to time & attendance system
  • Working with systems to produce reports to monitor trends in key HR metrics
  • Working with external provider for any complex employee relations cases
  • Working with Senior Leadership Team to ensure wider people strategy goals are being hit
  • Amending and managing policies & procedures

This is a full time permanent position working 40 hours Monday to Friday and is based full time at the Leicester site.

For this position we are looking for experienced HR Professionals who have the ability and confidence to work in a standalone position, taking ownership of the full HR function and supporting managers and SLT across the business. CIPD Level 5, equivalent or above is desired but not essential and for the right candidate sponsorship to complete CIPD studies can be considered.

You will need a thorough understanding of UK employment law and be comfortable working with management through ER cases with the support of an external law firm. You will have a background in fast paced high volume environments such as manufacturing, logistics and be used to working in a seasonally demanding workplace with varying shift patterns.

Prior experience in producing reports and presenting trends and information relating to HR metrics would be highly beneficial and we are looking for someone who can bring new ideas relating to employee engagement, retention and overall employee value initiatives in a challenging manufacturing environment.
