Our client is a well-established and thriving business, part of a large international organisation, manufacturing specialist products for a wide variety of industries.

Due to extensive growth they are currently seeking a number of technicians to work in various departments of the business.

The main purpose of the roles is to assist the coating department by using specialist equipment to meet on-time-delivery requirements & yield expectations.

Duties

  • Run numerous processes on different coating plants in the department
  • Measure and assess work on the appropriate spectrophotometers.
  • Identify potential coating problems and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Examine work prior to coating and be satisfied it is fit to coat
  • Load optics safely and maintain their cleanliness.
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance

Requirements

A good general level of education including GCSE Maths & English

A background in production, engineering, assembly would be beneficial but it is important that the successful candidate has excellent attention to detail and be able to handle and work with delicate items and to tight specifications.

Hours are either:

Mon-Thu 7.30am-4pm and Fri 7.30am-3pm

OR

Mon-Thu 6am-2pm and Fri 6am-1pm

Mon-Thu 2pm-10pm and Fri 1pm-8pm

Alternating weeks

Overtime is available at time and a half
