The Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of customer critical paths geared towards trialling and launching new products, in line with the site’s stage-and-gate process. Support in the coaching and development of a team of Process Technologists to ensure consistent, ‘Right First Time’ delivery of NPD and EPD projects. 

  • Management of customer critical paths in line with the site’s stage-and-gate process.
  • Support delivery of customer visits, including attended trials, pre-productions and first productions.
  • Champion new products from concept-to-launch, being the owner and first point of contact to field queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with and build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboratively work with the wider site team to identify process improvement opportunities with the business, and support their implementation where appropriate.
  • Deputise for the Process Manager as required.

  • Working knowledge of food manufacturing processes and practices, ideally with experience in chilled, short-shelf life products.
  • Experience of managing a small team, or similar ability to demonstrate appropriate leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication when transmitting ideas to all levels.
  • Good IT skills with experience of using MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and business demands.
  • Good understanding of HACCP application and risk assessment.
