Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of History to join one of our partner Colleges located in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire students in the subjects of History as well as teaching some RS & Geography. This will be an immediate start & for the remainder of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Subject Delivery:

- Deliver engaging and informative History lessons to students.

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.

  1. Curriculum Planning:

- Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with the History curriculum.

- Integrate innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding.

  1. Assessment and Feedback:

- Assess student progress through various methods.

- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth.

  1. Classroom Management:

- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.

- Implement effective behaviour management strategies.

  1. Parental Communication:

- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress and well-being.

- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and maintain open communication channels.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). UQT's will also be considered.

- Relevant academic qualifications in History and/or Politics.

- Proven experience teaching History and/or Politics.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
