Vehicle Diagnostic Sales Technician - Field Based - Midlands / Some of the North of England

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 5:30pm
Salary: Competitive
Salary may be further negotiable depending on experience

Overview:
We are looking for a Technically minded individual with a flare for rapport building, eager to make a step into the sales industry. Ideally, you'll have been working as a Technician / Mechanic within a Light Vehicle Workshop (or perhaps more recently within Technical Support) and be looking for a change in career direction which will make the most of your technical knowledge and training.

You'll receive full training on the products, and spend your first few weeks/ months working closely with the UK Sales Manager, with plenty of support in learning the sales process and how to demonstrate products to customers.

The role:
Selling our Client's vehicle diagnostic equipment into garages/ workshops within the Midlands / Some of the North of England
You'll benefit from an internal sales team who will direct leads, however you'll also be required to do an element of cold calling, generating new business, and some on site prospecting.

Requirements:

  • Technical training - NVQ in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent;
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Highly motivated - drive to earn commission;
  • Not afraid to push yourself out of your comfort zone and handle difficult conversations;
  • Willing to develop new business (will include some cold calling as well as following business leads);
  • Willing to listen and learn, following guidance on how to succeed in this new position - yet not afraid to ask if you require help or support;
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, preferably clean of points/ convictions.

You will be required to travel throughout the region and some overnight stays may be required during the week.
