Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant with Dunbar Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students within the Leighton Buzzard area. This position is well-suited for individuals with a passion for education and a minimum of 6 months of prior experience working in the UK education system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Support: Provide assistance to the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and engaging students in a positive learning environment.

  2. Individualized Support: Work closely with students who may require additional assistance, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to ensure their academic and personal development.

  3. Resource Management: Prepare and organize teaching materials, resources, and equipment to enhance the effectiveness of lessons.

  4. Behavior Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere by implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive student behavior.

  5. Communication: Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.

  6. Assessment Support: Assist in the administration and marking of assessments, as well as providing constructive feedback to students.

  7. Safety and Wellbeing: Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of students, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education system.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
