This position is working for a reputable social housing contractor with 20 regional offices across the country and over 700 employees providing local knowledge. Group turnover stands at 200m and there's plenty of financial stability. They have a great reputation for client relationships with councils and housing associations which has spanned over 100 years.

The Role

Leading a commercial team to ensure they obtain an evaluate information to guarantee a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials and services for designated Social Housing, tenanted, planned works refurbishments.

While liaising with contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of designated project/contracts.

* Managing the commercials of the sub regional office, typically consisting of multiple projects at one time.
* Supporting with the forecasting and future projections for the sub region.
* Managing the CVR process on a monthly basis for all sub regional contracts, with the support of the Surveyors.
* Monitoring the contract's progress and reporting any changes that may affect project costs and/ or time scale.
* Managing the controls around individual contract budgets.
* Preparing and monitoring cash flow forecast for designated projects.
* Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment to the client or client's representative.
* Submitting invoices for certified value and ensuring payments are received on time.
* Valuing and authorising payments to sub-contractors
* Assisting in the preparation, processing and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders
* Liaising with contract managers to establish the project specification and requirements
* Assisting in the development of the procurement programme.
* Mentoring and supporting the Surveyors in the region to ensure a strong focus on the commerciality of contracts within your sub region.
