We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist, most the time you will be based in Leighton Buzzard, however, there may be occassions where you would have to travel to other sites in Bedfordshire.

See below the working hours:

Approximately 16 hrs per week including 1 in 4 Saturdays (13 a year)

Monday: 3.30pm - 8.30pm Thursday: 1pm - 6.30pmFriday: 8am - 1.30pm

Role objective:

  • To act as a professional welcoming first point of contact for all visitors, answering and directing all enquiries and messages as appropriate.
  • To provide effective administrative services to staff.
  • There will be a requirement for the post holder to work flexibly and ensure that there is appropriate cover provided according to the demands of the service.
  • You must thrive in working with customer service and enjoy customer service.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processes as required.
  • To be aware of and aligned with company values.
  • To comply with the company policies and codes of practice in relation to Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity and customer service.
  • To work flexibly as required.
  • To be aware of the policy, procedures and safe working practices expected of all staff relating to the processing of personal information and Data Protection.

Role specific duties:

  • To welcome and assist with staff and visitor enquiries in a professional, welcoming and courteous manner, ensuring a smooth handover to appropriate staff; There is a high standard customer service expected.
  • To have an understanding & interest in the services offered.
  • To manage & develop the telephone and clinic communication systems, dealing with incoming enquiries, passing on messages and taking independent action where required.
  • To be a key holder.
  • Diary management.
  • To maintain a system that monitors all visitors to ensure a secure environment, including signing in all visitors and contractors.
  • To operate computer systems as may be necessary - emails, Nookal.
  • To add new referrals to Nookal.
  • To deal with all customer facing tasks such as appointment making and taking payments.
  • To handle incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • To complete incident and accident report forms where necessary.
  • To maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in all matters.
  • To undertake other reasonable duties as and when requested.
