Site Agent

Location – Suffolk

Rate – Competitive

Duration – 6 months rolling contract

My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Suffolk, who is currently looking for a Site Agent to represent the company in the delivery of project or part of a large scheme. To receive instruction on behalf of the company and to issue instruction and provide direction in order to ensure the successful delivery of project assigned by Senior Management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver the works safely
  2. Complete Understanding of all the project objectives.
  3. Build, develop, support and maintain the team.
  4. Build and maintain a good relationship with the client and all external parties.
  5. Develop the Tender Programme into a construction programme (Within 4 weeks of award)
  6. Monitor progress with up to date programmes so that timely clear direction can be given to the team on critical construction/financial targets.
  7. Development, Management and Maintenance of Site Management Plan
    1. Identify and evaluate risks, determine and manage actions, maintain Risk Register
    2. Manage and control changes to scope, requirements, personnel etc.

10. Monitor progress against cost plans, programmes and quality/environmental plans

11. Manage stakeholder engagement

12. Develop and protect our subcontractor relationships

13. Manage the design

14. Contribute to our recognition within the industry

15. Prepare and present project reports

16. Liaise with line management re: approvals and decisions at key stage.

Requirements:

  • Technical and  management abilities
  • Organisational and management skills
  • Knowledge of the requirements of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets,
  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
  • Experience as a Site Agent on Nuclear or heavy civils project
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Able to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management
  • Business Awareness
  • Effective use of Initiative
