We are seeking Welder Fabricator candidates who demonstrate proficiency in reading engineering drawings, understanding tolerances, bend allowances, and possessing experience in fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks in stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel materials ranging from 1.0mm to 12mm thickness, including pipework.
- Ability to create assembly weld fixtures.
- Perform MIG welding on both sub and main assemblies using fabrication jigs or freehand techniques.
- Utilise sanding and grinding techniques on components or assemblies to achieve specified dimensions and finish.
Requirements:
- The role involves manual lifting, therefore applicants should be physically fit and capable.
- Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
- Extensive experience in thin gauge TIG & MIG welding.
- Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication.
- Capability to fabricate stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
- Competence in reading and working from engineering drawings.
- City & Guilds Qualifications in welding and fabrication, or an apprenticeship in Engineering would be advantageous.
