The Portfolio Group are pleased to be working in partnership with this leading construction and property client, who are focused on sustainable and innovative projects. Being a trusted name in their industry, they are now looking to bring onboard a new permanent Payroll Clerk to their established and supportive team.

They are seeking a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join their in-house payroll team ensuring accuracy with all aspects of payroll processing with a particular focus on deadlines and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will have exposure to elements of pension processing, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their skills in payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high-volume payroll for their multi-sited workforce, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee information, tax data and hours worked
  • Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist in the administration of pension schemes, including calculating contributions and liaising with pension providers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless payroll processes and accurate reporting

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience with an in-house payroll
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with employees and stakeholders across the business
  • Proficient in payroll software and particularly Microsoft Excel
