Skilled Metal Fabricatorrequired for a busy sheet metal engineering workshop.

About the Company:

Our client are a leading engineering business, Letchworth based they specializie in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality.

ROLE:

• Skilled Metal Fabricator candidates must be able to read engineering drawings, understand tolerances / bend allowances / being experienced in / fabrication and sheet-metal machinery.
• Duties include Welding and fabrication in stainless steel, Aluminium, and mild steel material 1.0mm - 12mm thickness including pipework.
• The Ability to make assembly weld fixtures.
• MIG welding both sub and main assemblies either on a fabrication JIG or freehand.
• Sanding\Grinding components or assemblies to achieve the stated dimensions and finish.

Requirements for the Sheet Metal Fabricator:

• The role requires manual lifting so applicants should be fit and able.
• Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement.
• Sheet Metal Fabrication experience
• Be able to fabricate Stainless steel, Aluminium and Mild steel.
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

• £15.50-£19.80 /hr depending on experience
