Credit Controller

We are currently seeking a Credit Controller for a 3-month temporary position based in Brighton. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a knack for maintaining financial health and managing accounts receivable. Day-to-day of the role:- Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
- Setting up the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balances
- Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans
- Assisting in the setting up of the credit control system
- Ensuring that all transactions are compliant with company’s policies
- Handling disputed bills and negotiating to bring payment within the agreed terms
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
- Competence in decision-making and working with numbers
- Ability to work in a team and to manage tasks independently
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
