About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker to join an established SEN school in Leyland. The successful candidate will provide crucial emotional and behavioural support to students with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Support students during challenging periods or transitions
- Liaise with families, external agencies, and school staff
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress
- Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation
- Experience supporting young people with behavioural challenges
- Understanding of SEN and impact on emotional well being
- Excellent communication skills with children and adults
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS check required
