Pastoral Support Worker - SEN School

Location: Leyland Rate: £90 - £120 per day Contract: Full-time

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Worker to join an established SEN school in Leyland. The successful candidate will provide crucial emotional and behavioural support to students with special educational needs in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
  • Support students during challenging periods or transitions
  • Liaise with families, external agencies, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate records of interventions and student progress
  • Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation
Requirements
  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural challenges
  • Understanding of SEN and impact on emotional well being
  • Excellent communication skills with children and adults
