We're seeking a talented Newly Qualified Accountant to join their team and embark on their first step into an industry role from practice. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to contribute to the success of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the consolidation of monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and analyse financial statements under IFRS & UK GAAP (FRS101 & 102
  • Responsibility for IFRS 16 compliance, impairment reviews, and assessments internationally
  • Proficiency in conducting due diligence
  • Comprehensive understanding of acquisition accounting
  • Engage in the budgeting process and various ad hoc FP&A activities.
  • Manage reporting to the group and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial information and ensure data accuracy for reporting purposes.
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the finance leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
