Job Summary 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician (referred to internally as Senior Technician) to join our busy Production team at Florette. A key function joining up production and maintenance, your role will be to liaise with the Team Leaders and Maintenance department to ensure our machinery is operating at its full potential. You’ll rectify simple mechanical faults to machinery, plant and equipment ensuring all food safety and hygiene procedures are maintained. You’ll also assist with planned maintenance, asset care and ensure remedial work is completed and logged.

Agrial has operations across 18 regions, with 280 farming outlets and 5 different divisions, which comprise Beverage, Dairy, Meat, Fresh Produce & Agricultural operations; it’s not just about lettuce! As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial's vegetable division. 

The business is more recognisable in the UK by its Florette salad brand and we are now one of the UK’s leading producers in the industry. Under the Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat fresh salad bags to well-known retailers in the UK. We have a recipe for success through our EPIC values and working together as one team. 

Main Responsibilities 

•Organising, setting up and monitoring machinery

•Rectify mechanical faults to machinery, plant and equipment , carry out alterations

•Lead process improvements and CI improvements

•Complete and update tasks as per process confirmation

•Assist to install plant and equipment where required

•Manage the SOP writing programme

•Use computer aided maintenance management system as and when required

•Audit inspections of equipment integrity on a daily basis

•Maintenance following fabric/safety inspections

•Work with the team leaders on plant availability

Skills & Experience

•Relevant engineering apprenticeships, relevant H&S qualification (NEBOSH or IOSH)

•Some engineering background

•Experience in a similar role

•Experience of working in the food industry

•Understand drawings and show ability to interpret information

•Basic and intermediate food hygiene
