We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and assisting with accounts payable processes. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organisation and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and software.


Responsibilities

- Assist with the management of both purchase and sales ledgers

Daily multiple Bank Reconciliations

Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
- Utilise Sage accounting software to manage financial transactions.

- Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

- Collaborate with team members to reconcile discrepancies in financial records.

- Provide administrative support to the other members of the finance team as required, including filing and organising financial documents.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.


Skills

- Proficiency in Sage is essential

- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services.

Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
