Learning Support Assistant 32.5 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year Term Time Only We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant. The start date is ideally September 2024 but is negotiable. The school is located near Lincoln's beautiful cathedral, and is truly comprehensive, with over 1,300 students on roll. Learning Support Assistant This is a good opportunity for any individual who wishes to work in education and who believes that every child deserves the best opportunities possible to be able to succeed. Ongoing professional development is an integral part of this role and will be provided as part of your employment. The Learning Support Assistant will work under the guidance of teaching and SEN staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom. The Learning Support Assistant with lesson cover duties will also supervise whole classes during the short term absence of teachers. The right candidate will be empathetic to the diverse needs and abilities that some of our most challenging students have and should understand the principles of inclusion in a mainstream school. The successful candidate will manage the behaviour of students in line with the school's Behaviour Policy. You must be well organised and have the ability to prioritise your workload to ensure that deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and work within a team environment is key. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
