We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCO to join our secondary school in Tattershall, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEN policy.
  • Coordinate provision for students with SEN, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Advise on the graduated approach to providing SEN support.
  • Lead the development of high-quality SEN learning strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision through regular reviews.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
  • Ensure that SEN records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a substantial teaching experience.
  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification.
  • A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act.
  • Proven experience in SEN teaching and coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to empathise with children and their families.
  • DBS on the update service (although one can be applied for via Reed)
