Production Engineer - Littlehampton 

We represent a prestigious, future focused, multinational manufacturing and engineering organisation in their appointment of an innovative and inquisitive Production Engineer, working as part of a global engineering team on product and process improvements for a specific electromechanical product portfolio.

The production engineer will take on a varied role, and will be involved in all manner of engineering change requests, covering projects concerning changes to product design, process improvements, test processes, the introduction of new component parts through supply chain and supporting quality on customer concern resolution. They’ll also work on the implementation of new production processes and machinery as required.

Key skills

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline – mechanical, electromechanical, mechatronics
  • Some practical post graduate experience as a production engineer or manufacturing engineer in a fast paced mechanical or electromechanical engineering setting
  • Competent with 3D CAD software
  • Practical problem solving tools and APQP – control plans, PFMEA, process flows
  • An understanding of Lean principles
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with all other business functions on joint projects – working with operations, supply chain, quality and design as required to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • A ‘zero defect’ mentality, with a genuine desire to play a part in striving for this goal
