New Vacancy: Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing SME in Liverpool, who are keen to appoint a Finance Business Partner / Commercial Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

With a global reach, this expanding Manufacturer is responsible for producing some well-known, household named products. The successful appointed commercial accountant will provide much needed, financial support and insight to the CEO and Finance Director.

The ideal applicant will be a fully qualified commercial accountant, (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), with a proven track record in manufacturing and familiar with using ERP, Power Bi and leading projects. This is a huge, integral role within the group, requiring you to produce financial analysis and MI insight for the SLT and board. The role offers variety, with plenty of autonomy for you to take ownership, whilst producing weekly dashboard reports to drive business performance and growth.

You will be a self-motivated individual with leadership experience who can influence others whilst spearheading projects, driving data to lead process improvements and cost saving initiatives.

You will be a confident and commercially astute accountant, with first class inter-personal skills, who enjoys business partnering and collaborating with various stakeholders across operations, IT, production, R&D, sales & marketing and supply chain.

Knowledge of managing and interpreting vast data, ERP and Power Bi would be of great benefit.

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Supporting commercial decision making via robust data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver timely reports and dashboards to inform commercial and operational decisions.
  • Produce MI reports, modelling, margin analysis, pricing reviews, and investment appraisals.
  • Monitor stock movements, reconciliations, and variances, investigate discrepancies and drive initiatives to improve processes
  • Support budgeting and forecasting with data-driven insights and financial analysis.
  • Define and monitor KPIs relevant to operations and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the wider business finance, operations, commercial, sales and IT
  • Leading projects, identifying and delivering, process automation opportunities and improvements across reporting and controls.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, system upgrades, and change management efforts.
  • Respond to ad hoc commercial and financial analysis requests, including business case preparation and project support.

The ideal applicant, will be:

  • An astute, commercially focused, qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Self-motivated and eager to add value and make a difference
  • Strong analytic mindset with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills, SQL, Power BI or similar data visualisation tools experience
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Proven background in manufacturing, retail, or supply chain-driven environments
  • A self-starter with strong organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
